A double evening with two energetic artists from western Switzerland:

GIMME A BREAK !!! invites you to a powerful search for liberation in the first part of the evening. Inspired by rave culture, meditative practices and headbanging, Baptiste Cazaux explores the art of letting go as a survival strategy in a world dominated by capitalism. Together with loudspeakers, the choreographer creates an intense space full of contrasts in which he follows an indispensable and urgent life impulse.

Immerse yourself, let go, surrender: In the second part of the evening, Mélissa Guex and percussionist Clément Grin defy the demands of everyday life and, in the rousing piece Down (full album), enter together into a state of volatility in which everything touches, moves and drives them forward. Surrounded by the audience, they unfold an explosive, exuberant and insatiable performance - a collective groove from the depths of emotion.

There she worked with choreographers such as Thomas Hauert, David Zambrano and La Ribot. She created works such as the duo Hayali (2017) and the solo De ces (2019). In 2024, she will perform DOWN (full album) at the Vidy, a work about hidden spaces and perspectives.

Clément Grin comes from Yverdon-les-Bains and is a drummer and composer. He completed his master's degree in performance/composition at the Haute Ecole de Jazz in Lausanne under Cyril Regamey and Emil Spanyi.
