Physical Introduction "Same Love", Wed & Sat 28./31.5.25

  • Physical Introduction "Same Love"

The Physical Introduction is an introduction to ‘Same Love’, which works through movement rather than words. Simple physical exercises awaken the senses and sensitise the audience to the performance that follows.

The format is aimed at all interested parties, regardless of age or experience of movement. To take part in the Physical Introduction under the direction of Harumi Mumenthaler, please register in advance:

    Registration Physical Introduction 28. Mai

The number of places is limited.

The meeting point is at 6.30 pm at Freilager Platz. After the introduction, there will be enough time to relax and switch to presentation mode.

    Meeting point: Freilager-Platz, Florenz-Strasse 1G 4142 Münchenstein

Alice - Choir Workshop, Sun 31.8.25

  • Alice - Choir Workshop

Singing by ear, without sheet music. The free two-day workshop is aimed at anyone who enjoys singing - regardless of previous knowledge! Together with the musicians from Alice, the trio will rehearse pieces for several voices.

The highlight: a joint performance in the Merian Gärten Basel on 06.09.25!

Alice is a three-member, intergenerational women's choir from Geneva. Accompanied by a second-hand synthesizer and limited virtuosity, Alice has the courage to sing about the meaning of life in front of everyone. Her songs blend nursery rhymes, French folk music, everyday moments and infectious wit into a polyphonic soundscape. Musically somewhere between art pop, philosophy, sweet gangsta rap and futuristic folklore.

A look behind the scenes of a cultural institution:
Behind the scenes at Kaserne Basel, employees from a wide range of professions work all day and often also at night to offer artists the best possible performance and audiences a unique live experience. What does the day-to-day running of an event look like outside of the performances? How is the theater, dance and music program created? What technology is hidden behind the historic walls of the Kaserne? How has the Kaserne Basel developed over the last four decades? During a guided tour of the premises, you will get to know the Kaserne Basel and the site, including the newly opened kHaus, from a new perspective.

    We offer:
    - Guided tours for different groups (e.g. school classes, university, companies, etc.)
    - Guided tours with different focal points (e.g. technology, theater/dance, music, professions, architecture, etc.)
    - Guided tours available in German, English or French
    - Combination options (e.g. with a visit to a theater or concert, aperitif)

Supervistas 2025

  • Want to go to the theater more often?
Do you want to take a look behind the scenes and get to know the makers?
You want to talk critically about theater, discuss, argue?
Are you between 15 and 25? Or between 25 and 45?

Then join the Supervistas! The two groups “Young Adults” and “Forever Young” explore Basel's dance and theater landscape once a week. It's not just about watching, but also about discussing, exchanging ideas and asking questions with each other and with the directors, actors, dancers and other experts. The project, formerly known as “Die Voyeur*innen”, was created in 2012 on the initiative of Kaserne Basel and junges theaters basel. The Supervistas also take place in Bern, Zurich, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Geneva.

When: every Thursday evening (September to June, later entry possible)
We visit: Kaserne Basel, junges theater basel, Theater Basel, Vorstadttheater Basel, ROXY Birsfelden and others.
Direction: Elena Manuel, Isabelle Romano and Max Schaffenberger

    Registration: basel@supervistas.ch , salut@supervistas.ch
