Time is one of the few things that cannot be represented. It can only be experienced. It flows through our bodies, pushing them steadily forward, while individual lives fill up with an ever-growing past. We grow older, we change, and so does the world around us.

Beatrice Fleischlin, Markus&Markus Theaterkollektiv and Rabih Mroué are presenting works at this year's Dokumentartage that are eight, eleven and seventeen years old. When they premiered, the world was a different place. Now their works are documents of a time and, at the same time, testimonies that bear witness to the changes in our world. They are old and new at the same time. How do the artists see their pieces today and what do they tell us about ourselves?
