Elsewhere, Still Between Us (Working Title) 

This work-in-progress revisits earlier material through a new phase of research initiated in Switzerland. Rooted in Tamil and Sinhalese histories, and developed through ongoing conversations and listening with diasporic communities in Switzerland connected to Tamil Eelam and Sri Lanka, as part of an evolving research process, it explores bodily multiplicity as an ongoing negotiation between identification and disidentification. The project approaches (dis)connection as an evolving force, where being in relation does not guarantee solidarity but remains shaped by uneven conditions. Working across multiple elsewheres, the body navigates this tension as something lived and continually reconfigured. Breath operates as a fragile measure of relation, shaping rhythms through which connection - and solidarity - might be attempted across distance and difference. After one month of research and exploration, the work remains open, functioning as a generative pause toward a longer-term transnational inquiry.
