Naked except for sneakers and socks, the Brazilian performers Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira look out into the audience and counter the structural and political violence in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro with something: dance. In the two different and equally impressive performances Repertório 2 (on Saturday) & Repertório 3 (on Sunday), the body becomes a place of resistance and choreography becomes self-defense against racism and queer hostility! Imbued with strength, humor and politics, Repertório keeps the desire for liberation alive.
