The Belly and the Night is the second piece in a cycle of research begun by Nolwenn Peterschmitt exploring the bridges between ritual practice, social sciences and the performing arts.This new creation draws its breath from ancient cosmogonies — the stories of the world’s beginnings, and more precisely, of the origin of the Night. It invites the audience into a collective and deeply intimate descent — into the trembling zones of the invisible, into the Black Night itself. We are called to fall together into that liminal space between being and non-being — where fear, desire, and the pulse of organic life dwell — and to rediscover our first condition: the inside of the Belly.
It is a Night of encounters, of thresholds, of creatures.
