Two feminist DJ collectives from Basel and Marrakesh: that sounds like the perfect match for the afterparty at Tabea Martin's Culturescapes festival at Rossstall. Kollektiv Avalon, known for their “Tender Raves” at Apartment Avalon on Clarastrasse, are hosting the Soundsisters from Morocco, who are providing the soundtrack for Tabea Martin's dance piece.
Limited time frame, beautiful energy, come, dance, feel good.
The Basel DJs Bio Goat & Donna Softa of Kollektiv Avalon share a deep love of music—and of bass lines that you don't just hear, but feel.
Since finding each other behind the decks in 2023, they have been rocking the Apartment Avalon with their unmistakable sound. With a mix of driving rhythms, emotional melodies, and bold genre changes, they power through sets full of energy and emotion. Whether house, breaks, or bass music—the main thing is that it gets under your skin and keeps your heart beating.
Soundsisters are strongly committed to women+ in the Arab music scene. They offer weekly DJ workshops in Marrakesh to strengthen the scene. Soundsisters Morocco was founded in 2022 by Maria Malasangre and is revolutionizing the music industry by creating an inclusive space for female DJs from all over Morocco. As the first DJ collective in the country, they are already represented in seven cities with over 60 members, making a tangible contribution to equality in electronic music. Through training, representation, empowerment, and community building, they are reshaping the industry.
