Svetlana Spirina is a visual artist from Yekaterinburg who currently lives in Barcelona. Svetlana works on the transition between performance, its documentation and digitalisation. During her residency at Kaserne, she will be working on her project Digital Empathy, which is intended as a teaching programme and aims to connect users with their digital bodies and the digital bodies of others. In her showing, she explores empathy in the digital space and questions how we can develop a healthy relationship with our digital identities and foster empathy between all users of the Metaverse.

In order to enable accessibility for deaf people at our showings, we try out various possibilities that suit the respective showing format: Subtitling, handouts etc.
