30 years with Kardeş Türküler 2025 | Documentary Film, | 108' | Türkiye
Since 1993, the music collective Kardeş Türküler has brought together different languages, cultures, and memories, emerging from the Boğaziçi University Folklore Club. This documentary traces the group’s 30-year musical and political journey, committed to cultural diversity, coexistence, and cross-border solidarity.
Featuring companions such as Hrant Dink, Neşet Ertaş, and Sezen Aksu, the film becomes a reflection of contemporary Turkish history – a polyphonic archive of resistance, grief, hope, and solidarity. It is both a musical document and a testimony of its time, as well as a powerful plea for a sense of kinship beyond borders.
