This time, VoyageVoyage takes us to our friends at Le Maillon in Strasbourg.

Nearly 20 years ago, Philippe Quesne created the character Serge, who invited friends over every Sunday to perform micro-plays in his apartment (L’Effet de Serge). Today, thanks to a group of curious visitors, that same apartment is transformed into a strange art gallery. For, as is so often the case in Quesne’s theatrical universe, the world must always be created using whatever means are at hand: cardboard, a strange foam, floor coverings… and the poetry of Laura Vazquez.

In this cheerfully absurd composition, five performers are captivated by the magic of objects and materials. As a utopia of attention to all that is different—whether living or not— Le Paradoxe de John offers an inspiring respite from the constant acceleration of the present.
