The Physical Introduction is an introduction to Away with the Faeries, which works through movement rather than words. Simple physical exercises awaken the senses and sensitize the audience to the performance that follows.
The format is aimed at all interested parties, regardless of age or experience of movement.
Meeting point is at 7 pm at the box office. After the introduction, there will be enough time to relax and switch to performance mode.

Lucia Gugerli
Lucia Gugerli (born 1994) is a performer and teaching artist with experience in production, conceptualization, and education in the field of dance. She works between Switzerland and Germany in various contexts and roles. She has performed in works by various artists, including Meg Stuart, Simone Aughterlony, Isabel Lewis, Fabrice Mazliah, Juliette Uzor, and Ofelia Jarl Ortega. She develops her own work and collaborates closely with the collective The Field to create a wide range of works, from large-scale performances to intimate artistic encounters. Lucia co-leads the Connect project—Dancing with Neurological Challenges—in collaboration with the Zurich Opera House, the Tonhalle Society Zurich, the Kunsthaus Zurich, and the Dance and Creative Wellness Foundation. Through weekly classes, Connect brings together around 90 people with neurological challenges with professional musicians and dancers.
Lucia studied contemporary dance in Germany and the Netherlands. In 2023, she spent a six-month residency in Berlin. In 2024, Lucia participated in the ATLAS program at ImPulsTanz in Vienna, supported by Pro Helvetia.
