Perhaps existence is always an approximation
During a 3-month residency, Nelson Schaub explores the themes of queerness, loneliness, fantasy, escapism and pessimism. In the Showing « Perhaps existence is always an approximation » Nelson explores the interference between self-perception and others’ perception. Poetry is used to shape the unknowable and pretend logic is rendered useless. When each mask is made of skin, authenticity loses its meaning.
A being tries to fathom the minds of those around them through a cascade of incessant questions. As they search for answers, they lose themself in an inner labyrinth, until they no longer know what they feel nor what they truly desire.
