For 35 years, Les Reines Prochaines have defied trends and remained timeless and distinctly contemporary in their shows. With visually stunning stage performances and a large orchestra or gracing ballrooms, basements and intimate venues across Europe with their nimble and intimate concert programmes. Their anarchism and feminist perspectives playfully expose the weight of societal and economic constraints, reflecting a mischievous but insightful viewpoint. The second band of the evening is Bärchen und die Milchbubis, a legendary punk/NDW group from the notorious Hanover scene. Their EP Jung Kaputt Spart Altersheim (1980) became the script for an entire youth culture. The 2021 anthology Endlich komplett betrunken is a compelling reason to extend an invitation to Basel 44 years after the band's formation.
Please note that this is not a seated concert.
