COLD is the new well-tempered spoken word show by Fatima Moumouni & Laurin Buser. Politically heated moods, melting poles and social coldness - the second evening programme of the two also takes on socio-political topics and seeks a poetic and humorous approach to them.

After their successes as playwrights for the plays Bullestress and Ich chan es Zündhölzli azünde at Schauspielhaus Zurich, COLD is a return to joint stage performance, the discipline with which the two have been performing on various stages since 2015 and have won both the Swiss and the German-language poetry slam championships.

Biography

Fatima Moumouni is a spoken word poet, moderator and columnist living in Zurich. She has been performing on various stages in German-speaking countries since 2011. In addition to solo performances, she performs as a duo with Laurin Buser. The two were awarded the Salzburg Bull for their joint evening programme GOLD 2021. With the journalist Uğur Gültekin, she hosts Moumouni/Gültekin - the first post-foreign, post-migrant late night show in Switzerland. At the Gessnerallee in Zurich, Moumouni hosts her series of talks The New Insecurity. Disco Edition, a plea for more space for insecurity on public stages as a motor for more progressive discourses.

Laurin Buser is a spoken word poet, rapper, playwright and moderator from Basel. He has toured four full-length programs to date. Together with Fatima Moumouni he was awarded the Salzburger Stier 2022 and won the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships in Berlin. Buser acted in various theater plays, both as an actor and as a writer. He moderated for radio, ZDF as well as for SRF. His EP Schmuck was released on the label Kunstwerkstadt of the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe, in autumn 23 his latest solo EP BACCHUS will be released.
