Since his first EP, Alles Gute, Swiss songwriter Faber has been breaking through barriers in his career as if they were doors. He writes pointed lyrics that are among the most intelligent and polarizing currently available. This has led to sold-out tours and headlining slots at prestigious festivals for Faber, who is celebrated by critics and fans alike. The live album Orpheum clearly shows that Faber's concerts are rousing, elegant, and unpretentiously sophisticated, and therefore the best you can see live in German (and not only that, Faber also sings in Italian, French, and Swiss German from time to time).
On his third studio album, Addio, Faber breaks away from measurable art, from music that can no longer stand on its own, but must immediately reflect how compatible it is with the masses. He has written songs that don't have to work, but do anyway. Songs that have long since set out to show what they are capable of in concert.
Faber is accompanied by an expanded band consisting of Tillmann Ostendarp (drums, trombone), Janos Mijnssen (bass, cello), Goran Koč (keys), Max Kämmerling (guitar, percussion), Gina Été (vocals, viola), Hannah Adriana Müller (vocals, violin), Dino Brandão (vocals, guitar, percussion), and Mel D (vocals, guitar).
