Originally from the DIY hardcore scene, Coilguns have since created their own blend of pissed off punk and ecstatic noise rock. The history of the band is deeply linked to the development of guitarist Jona Nido's own label - Hummus Records - which now brings together up to 150 releases by Swiss artists from all sonic backgrounds. Although their last two albums were 100% self-produced, constructed and mixed by the band members, Coilguns went with producer Scott Evans to Oceansound Recordings at the end of the world in Norway in the summer of 2022 for their 4th Studio album, which was then mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety. The band is known for their raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances that proudly serve the dance freaks and crowd-surfing spinners.
Asbest released their first EP "INTERSTATES" in 2017. The positive response to it, the live presence and cultural promotion, led to the fact that the band in Bristol could record their debut album “DRIVEN” (A TREE IN A FIELD RECORDS, 2018). This release allowed the band further national and international steps: winning Demotape Clinic M4Music 2019 (Category Rock and Demo of the Year), Festival in Tunisia, two European tours and participation in the Eurosonic Noorderslag 2020. As part of the latter, the WDR Rockpalast broadcast a portrait and a live compilation of the concert. The band used the pandemic to work on their second album "CYANIDE", which they recorded in the summer of 2021 at the Milberg Studios in Stuttgart.
