Following an explosive concert last year, Baby Volcano is returning to the Kaserne this time with an interdisciplinary performance that blends elements of a punk musical, ecstatic dance animation, and an immersive video installation. In search of a temporary imaginary refuge, the artist fuses the kinetic energy of trance and reggaeton with combative lyrics and videos by Augustin Rebetez, who helped design the art-haunted house “Scream Machines” in Basel last year. An evening that breaks down genre boundaries with irresistible euphoria and makes our hearts beat faster as one.

“Baby Volcano isn’t just about noise and eruption, even though that makes up a large part of the set. In a dramatic arc, Stadelmann guides her audience through ecstasy to moments of calm that feel almost ritualistic.” (Republik)

Sensory Note: Stroboscopic lights, loud music

Duration: approx. 65 min.
