Using original music from Wild Mix, Moore’s new acclaimed choral punk musical about queer rituals for survival, this workshop is for anyone who has been told to shut up or distrust their own body. It’s a space for us to vocalise, vibrate, expand and test the ritual of communal singing as a survival mechanism.
In other words, we’re going to gay church for some singing / witnessing / worldbuilding. Times are heavy, bodies are aching, grief is immense.
I sing to be seen, to be in community, to practise vulnerability. To tell the truth. This is rooted in my own story as the founder and co-creator of F*Choir – a queer feminist community choir that meets regularly to practice embodied polyphony, working on powerful music that feels hot in the moment and supports us in our daily lives.
The invitation here is to use this music as a vehicle for channelling, connecting, sensing, moving and asking this question together. Through song, we’ll practice holding space and being held, creating a sonic, embodied way of saying, “I’ve got you.” And a sonic, embodied way of saying, “Ok. I’ll let go.”
Who’s it for?
It’s for you. Whoever that you is, it’s for you. It's for trans, queer, black and brown, disabled and all marginalised identities. Come as you are, bring what parts of yourself you are willing to, and be open to hearing the noise you make in a chorus of voices. No experience is necessary, no terrifying 'please sing on your own now' moments or auditions of any kind. There is no end goal, no perfect summoning of what we will achieve, our voices will lead us and we will get to where we need to be together.

F*Choir
F*Choir is a 70-strong, queer-led ensemble that radically reimagines what choral singing can be - bold, high-energy, full-body music that celebrates collective liberation, joy, and embodied resistance. Founded by composer and multidisciplinary artist Jenny Moore and co-conducted by Bianca Stephens, the choir challenges traditional music canons, drawing instead on the work of criminally underrepresented women, trans, non-binary, and queer artists. At its core, F*Choir is about claiming the right to our own voices as people who have been historically marginalised and excluded.
Having captivated audiences across the UK and beyond, F*Choir has performed sold out gigs at iconic venues such as Milton Court - programmed by the barbican, EartH Hackney, Bishopsgate Institute, Wellcome Collection and the MOTH Club.
"F*Choir is one of the most radical and hope-giving choirs I’ve ever witnessed… genderless, borderless songs that champion the earth, our bodies, our rage, and our desperate will to breathe against the machine." (audience member, Barbican 2025)
“It wasn’t just an auditory experience - the high I felt was visual, somatic, existential… every single cell of mine felt seen." (audience member, Barbican 2025)
Wild Mix
Wild Mix is a new acclaimed musical by Jenny Moore, featuring a queer ensemble of 5 singers, drummers, a kickboxer, and a choir. They are lovers, colleagues, housemates, friends. Through this soaring 6-part song-cycle, multi-layered vocals, intense beats, and poignant storytelling, it asks: What does healing feel like? At its core lies Jenny’s unique instrument: a transparent, water-filled boxing bag with a hydrophone. Weighing 50 kilograms and towering like a human torso, the bag fosters a deeply personal, corporeal sonic relationship, shaping our interactions to elicit sound—it's the soundscape's heartbeat. Rooted in communal singing, kickboxing, and drumming, Wild Mix embodies the daily practices of queer healing.
