The fascinating sound of Sababa 5 is like a musical voyage of discovery, in which psychedelic synths, oriental guitar riffs and tight rhythms merge into a complete fusion. Established in the vibrant heart of Tel Aviv back in 2016, the four musicians have al-ready collaborated with musical greats, such as Gili Yalo and Ester Rada, and made a name for them-selves well beyond the borders of their native coun-try. Inspired by the Mizrahi music of Israel, which interweaves European sounds with the rich culture of the Middle East and North Africa, Sababa 5 craft a very danceable beat, while their love for 70s funk bestows a timeless quality upon their music. As part of the Jazzhane series, they will be presenting their second album Aspan at Kaserne.
