Following the premiere of Jeremy Nedd on 14 September, our artist in residence Mayara Yamada will be performing a DJ set under her stage name, Marara Kelly, to celebrate the opening of the new season. Mayara is a Brazilian performance artist and DJ, who now lives in Lausanne after stints in the Brazilian Amazon and Rio. As Marara Kelly she loves to play Baile Funk and Tecno Brega. Two genres that exude a vivacious remix culture, where pieces of global pop culture are decolonised in a radical and highly danceable fashion and guests are emboldened by the profound strength of togetherness.
