Valentina Magaletti is a percussionist and composer and, as such, a kind of woman of the hour. With her projects Vanishing Twin, Tomaga, Holy Tongue and collaborations with artists such as Mica Levi and Thurston Moore, she has earned herself an almost magical reputation and is regularly featured on the best lists and stages of all relevant magazines and festivals. In addition, with A Queer Anthology of Drums she has produced a modern classic of queer improvisation music. The second artist performing at this special percussion edition of Listen!, Julian Sartorius, is considered one of the most important jazz and improvisation musicians in Switzerland, has released on ECM and has already worked with Valentina in addition to countless other collaborations.
