The Istanbul-based synth-wave vanguards Jakuzi turned quite a few heads with the release of their debut album Fantezi Müzik. The band, consisting of Kutay Soyocak and Taner Yücel, refuses to be simply slotted into a genre and takes its audiences on a wild musical ride through the 1980s. By blending elements from Krautrock and their favourite Turkish pop music, the two artists have managed to create an expressive sound world within this spectrum.
