Ever since his album Hurra! Hurra! So nicht from 2010, the German singer and guitarist Gisbert zu Knyphausen has been one of the leading lights of German-language songwriters. Influenced by bands such as Element of Crime or Ton Steine Scherben, his lyrics have a melancholy mood, but there is always a glimmer of hope, a belief in the basic goodness and a lot of love and affection in his stories. After various projects (e.g. the successful band Husten), as a guest musician with Olli Schulz, musical changes of course - including a detour into classical music - and appearances in venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, he is finally going on tour again this autumn and will also be coming to us to present his stories live.
