How do we as feminists deal with the police? Ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March, this interactive workshop creates space for feminists in Basel to:

- discuss their perspectives and experiences with the police

- explore, learn, and imagine together alternative ways to ensure safety that centre the rights of women and queer people.

Participants will share a common foundation of feminist principles, values, and commitment to women and queer people’s rights and understanding of gender-based violence.

Chitra Nagarajan has spent the last 15 years working to defend human rights and build peace, and as part of anti-racist, anti-fundamentalist, feminist, and queer rights movements.

This workshop takes place as part of the Kaserne LAB and is organized by Miriam Coretta Schulte.

Meeting point: Kasernenhof 8 (entrance courtyard side kHaus)
